Beer- A good selection of ales on. A big hand written board on the wall tells you what is on at the moment which is handy. Im actually on the sherries seen as though it's boxing day.
Music- Quiet but crappy chart tunes which seems a bit rubbish to me in such a olde worlde pub. The good thing is they are pretty much whispers so it hasn't affected the ambience too much. And the atmosphere is bustling and pleasant.
Decor- It's a proper tudor-y place. With very low ceilings and dark beams. There are two rooms. One is the main boozer and the other is for eating (the food looks great- very traditional). They have also recently built a conservatory on the back to make more space. There's a colletiong of toby jugs and lots of cricket photos on the wall, as there is a ground out the back. Tables are low and the open fire is an. Very good allround!
Clientele- Eaters, boozers and chilling walkers of all ages today. Families also. It's a good cross section and no madheads whatsoever
Staff- didn't buy a round in (how cheeky) so I'm not the best to say, but seemed friendly enough, especially the waitresses.
