DECOR - This is a dad pub through and through. Worn multicoloured carpet, leather seats and dark wood chairs, strange comedy pictures on the wall circa 1962, and even a framed exhibition of various knots.
6/10
TUNES - None playing, the tv dominated the airwaves, but this was at opening time with only 3 people in the pub, on close examination the jukebox is a classic. It had 1960's greatest hits, the pogues, beatles, bon jovi and blur so i take that into account.
5/10
ALES - A range were on show, although i had a Guinness (it was an Irish pub). It was alright, but not amazing.
5/10
CLIENTELE - Friendly, talkative, slightly insane old guys, who would leave you alone, but happy to talk when approached. Exactly what i want at noon when i'm killing time waiting for the ferry.
7/10
STAFF - Very approachable, fast, friendly. Had a bit of a laugh with him and after i watched a bit of tele with him, he offered to turn it on in my corner so i could watch it there. Good lad.
8/10
OVERALL - A nice quiete old mans pub. Good for a pint whilst waiting for your ferry to come in. God knows why you're in Holyhead otherwise.
